Description
Stanley Black and Decker's Advanced Manufacturing Center of Excellence Hartford, CT
Sudhi Bangalore is the global V.P. and corporate leader for Industry 4.0 technologies for Stanley Black and Decker. With a passion for practical innovation, he has built and commercialized several successful manufacturing solutions in the areas of Design Automation, Workflow Digitization and Diagnostics for companies like Rockwell Automation, Siemens and Wipro Technologies.
In his last role at Wipro, he founded the Smart Manufacturing Practice in 2013 with a clear focus of leveraging the IT/OT integration promise for global companies. Recognized for co-innovation of enterprise excellence, he has been a trusted advisor for many companies in their transformation journey and is a frequent speaker on the topic of practical deployment of Industry 4.0 technologies.
He holds a Masters in Industrial Engineering from University of Louisville and an MBA from Kent University.
In his new role as the V.P. of Industry 4.0 for Stanley Black and Decker, he is responsible for setting the vision and deployment of the promising Industry 4.0 technologies within Stanley Black and Decker plants that differ in size, sophistication and manufacturing type. To assist in this critical and pivotal transformation, he will also be setting up the Advanced Manufacturing Center in Hartford called the Manufactory 4.0, that will assist in the innovation, testing and deployment of these technologies in Stanley Black and Decker plants.
As part of this technology roadmap, he is working on addressing the challenge of creating a low cost, yet effective solution to improve visibility, smart hand-off between key processes and minimizing paper.
Having worked on this problem for over two years, the speaker will discuss and demonstrate this creative architecture framework and an app based Paperless Manufacturing System that would serve as a basis for further innovation and exploration. The discussion will also focus on potential deployment models and public/private sponsorship that would be required to make this a reality.
