with guest speaker, NHMA Lobbyist, Melissa Biggs, Esq.
Unless you’ve been way off the grid, it’s hard not to know about the $2B deficit Connecticut is facing over the next two years and the $100B in debt and obligations. The two top issues for the majority party are $15 minimum wage and Paid Family Leave and it is highly likely these issues will come to a vote this session. Now is the time to be involved.
This presentation will have two parts. The first part will be a presentation by our lobbyist, Melissa Biggs, covering what our association has accomplished over the last few years and how you can become active in voicing your opinion in Hartford. The second part will be for people with opinions and unable to make the drive to Hartford. We will hear your concerns as well identify specific impacts from proposed legislation on your operations. This information will be rolled into NHMA’s testimony and delivered in Hartford. So, come to Woodbridge and be heard!
