Description
Filling skilled positions will become easier for those manufacturers opting to partner in a new workforce initiative. The Manufacturing Pipeline Initiative (MPI) is a public-private partnership that has already trained over 1000 candidates to assume manufacturing jobs in Eastern Connecticut. Manufacturers in the Eastern region of CT have steered this initiative by defining what is taught, how it’s taught, and who’s qualified to be taught. Kelli Vallieres, President of Sound Manufacturing, will outline the impressive results thus far. The State has funded continuation of the Eastern CT MPI program and passed a bill allocating bond money to start other pipelines in the state.
This program will educate NHMA members about the MPI program and set expectations on what being a partner would entail. Participants will be asked to indicate if they want to learn more about becoming a partner. Learn more about this successful initiative and take control of your company’s future.
